Position Title:  Fundraising Coordinator

Purpose:  Coordinate the Library’s fundraising program

Time Frame:  June 17, 2013 – December 13, 2013 ( tentative )

Wage:  $35.00 / hour and negotiated expenses ( based on a 20 hour work week )

Over the next 6 months the library will be entering into a fundraising campaign.  The ideal candidate should have some education in a related field or equivalent work experience.  This job is a part-time position working under the supervision of the FSPL Director and the fundraising committee of the Library Board.  It predominantly involves office hours Monday to Friday but there may be some meetings and events on evenings and weekends.

Duties and responsibilities:

--  Maintain and build on existing donor relationships

--  Track donations to ensure donors are appropriately recognized

--  Identify and research prospects

--  Maintain a spreadsheet with contacts, results and dates

--  Coordinate and submit grant proposals in a timely manner

--  Present library expansion presentations to identified groups and businesses

--  Coordinate donations with Library Board / Library Director re: receipts, recognition opportunities

Qualifications:

 -- Previous experience with a volunteer Board or committee would be beneficial

--  Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office

--  A professional, poised and positive approach with outstanding written and oral communication abilities and interpersonal skills

--  Is comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information appropriately

--  Must possess exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks

--  Valid Alberta drivers licence and own vehicle
