2012 Canada Day Poster Challenge

Entry forms / brochures are available at the Library for the 2012 Canada Day Poster Challenge.  They are also available at www.posterchallenge.pch.gc.ca

Each year, young people aged 5 to 18 are invited to submit an entry to the Canada Day Poster Challenge by designing a poster that shows their pride in our country.  The year 2012 marks an important milestone in Canadian history: the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.  For the 2012 edition of the Poster Challenge, young people are invited to submit artwork inspired by the theme 1812: The Fight for Canada.

The 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 is a unique opportunity for all Canadians to take pride in our traditions and shared history.  The War of 1812 was a significant nation-building event that contributed to the development of a distinct Canadian national identity.

The artwork of the national winner will become the official poster for Celebrate Canada, the 11-day period from June 21 to July 1.  Winners will also receive great prizes!

Entry deadline is March 09, 2012.
