The Fort Saskatchewan Public Library has a wide variety of materials available for borrowing. Materials include books, CDs, DVDs and audio books for all ages, special formats including large print and DAISY format audio books, as well as magazines.

Annual Borrower Fees:

$12.00 for the First Member Card Child/Adult ($30.00 for non-residents)
$9.00 for a Senior 65+ Card ($23.00 for non-residents)
$3.00 for each additional borrower in the same household ($6.00 for non-residents)
$25.00 Maximum Family Charge ($50.00 for non-residents)

* A resident pays taxes to the City of Fort Saskatchewan.
* Fort Saskatchewan Public Library Cards can also be used at the Strathcona County Library for no additional charge.
* Ask about the Reciprocal Agreements between the Fort Saskatchewan Public Library and the public libraries in Edmonton, St. Albert, Gibbons, and Lamont. These agreements allow FSPL cardholders to purchase a card at participating libraries for the resident rate.
* Ask about the TAL (The Alberta Library) Card, which is free to all FSPL cardholders and which allows books to be checked out from participating libraries across the province.

Loan Periods:

1 week for DVDs (1 renewal of 1 week possible)
3 weeks for books, audio books, MP3s, magazines (2 renewals of 3 weeks each possible)
3 weeks for language tapes, CDs (1 renewal of 3 weeks possible)

Late Charges:

$0.30/day for Adult Material
$0.15/day for Children’s Material
$0.40/day for Audio Books, MP3s, CDs
$1.00/day for DVDs

Card Limits:

100 items per card.
